It is magnetised axially through its height; the countersunk side is the north pole. Combine it with the South Pole version if two magnets have to attract each other face to face. Screw it onto wood, plastic or panels for cabinet and door catches, covers and panels, signage and displays, tool holders and jigs.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eN48 is one of the higher grades of neodymium and gives a high holding force for its size (N50 and N52 are stronger still). The calculated pull force is approx. 2.8 kg when the magnet sits directly on a thick, flat steel plate.
