Ring Magnets
Neodymium ring magnets have a hole in the middle, so they can slide onto a shaft or pin or be fixed with a screw. Outer diameters range from 6 mm to 60 mm, from a 6 x 2 x 2 mm ring to a 60 x 6 x 30 mm ring.
Most of the range is countersunk: rings from 8 to 50 mm with a tapered hole for a flat-head screw, sold with the countersink on the north or on the south pole so two magnets can be mounted to attract. Many are grade N48, and plastic-coated and epoxy-coated versions are available. A 30 x 12 x 20 mm ferrite ring magnet is listed as well. Typical tolerance is ±0.1 to 0.2 mm.
