Ordering and shipping
1. Do you ship to my country?
Yes. We ship worldwide from our warehouse in Belgium. Every order is picked, packed and shipped by us from our own stock. The shipping methods available for your country are shown at checkout.
2. Is shipping free?
Yes, for orders of €50 or more excluding VAT, to any destination worldwide. The threshold is based on the value of the products excluding VAT, after any discounts. For smaller orders, the shipping cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
3. When do you ship?
We pick, pack and ship orders from our own stock on working days (not at weekends or on Belgian public holidays). You'll receive tracking details by email as soon as your order is on its way. Delivery times depend on the destination; see our Shipping Policy.
4. Will I pay import duties outside the EU?
No Belgian VAT is charged on deliveries outside the European Union. We pay the import duties, import VAT and customs clearance fees, so you pay nothing extra on delivery.
Prices, VAT and invoices
5. Are your prices shown with or without VAT?
Both. The main price is excluding VAT, and the price including 21% Belgian VAT is shown right below it. The VAT that applies to your order depends on who you are and where the goods are delivered, and is calculated at checkout before you pay.
6. Can my business buy without VAT (reverse charge)?
Yes, if your business is registered for VAT in an EU country other than Belgium and the goods are delivered to an EU country other than Belgium. Enter your valid VAT number at checkout; we check it via the EU's VIES system, and your order is invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge rules. You then account for the VAT in your own country. 7. Can private individuals order?
Yes. Our shop is designed for business buyers, but anyone can order. Private customers in the EU pay 21% Belgian VAT, and have the 14-day right of withdrawal and the two-year legal guarantee.
8. Which payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with all payment methods offered at our checkout through Shopify Payments, as well as PayPal and bank transfer. The methods available for your order are shown at checkout. If you pay by bank transfer, you pay in advance: we ship your order once your payment has been received.
Quotes and volume orders
9. Do you offer volume discounts?
Yes. Volume prices are applied automatically in the cart: 10–49 pieces 10% off, 50–199 pieces 20% off and 200 pieces or more 30% off the list price (excl. VAT). Quantities of all products in your cart count towards the tier, so you can mix and match sizes. The volume table on each product page shows your price per piece. For larger quantities, recurring orders or custom sizes, send us the products, sizes, quantities, delivery country and, if applicable, your VAT number via our quote form, and we'll reply by email with your price within 1 working day. Quotes are valid for 30 days, unless stated otherwise.
Returns
10. Can I return magnets?
Consumers can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason, using the withdrawal form. The customer pays the direct cost of returning the goods. Business customers can return unused products by prior agreement. Details are in our Returns & Refunds Policy. Please pack strong magnets securely for the return, with spacers between them.
Technical questions
11. What do the grades N35 to N52 mean?
The grade shows the strength of the neodymium material. "N" stands for neodymium, and the number is the material's maximum energy product in MGOe (mega-gauss-oersteds): the higher the number, the more magnetic energy per unit of volume. An N52 magnet is therefore stronger than an N35 magnet of the same size and shape. A letter after the number (for example N42SH) indicates a higher temperature class; standard "N" grades have no letter. More in our technical guide.
12. How is pull force measured, and why is it lower in my application?
The pull-force figures we list come from our suppliers' data. They're measured under ideal laboratory conditions: pulling the magnet straight off a thick, flat, clean steel plate, with full contact. In real use, the holding force is lower, often much lower: any air gap (including paint, a coating, tape or a sheet of paper), thin or rough steel, stainless steel, or a sideways (shear) load reduces it considerably. Test in your own application and allow a generous safety margin, especially where anything is lifted or hung overhead.
13. Which coating should I choose?
Most neodymium magnets are nickel-coated (Ni-Cu-Ni), which suits indoor, dry use. Epoxy coatings offer better protection in humid conditions but scratch more easily. Rubber-coated magnets protect delicate surfaces, resist sliding better and are a common choice for outdoor use. Neodymium corrodes if the coating is damaged, so no coating makes a magnet suitable for permanent immersion in water unless the product says so. See the coating overview in our technical guide.
14. How hot can neodymium magnets get?
Standard N-grade neodymium magnets are generally rated for a maximum operating temperature of about 80 °C. Above their limit they permanently lose part of their strength. Grades with a suffix (such as M, H or SH) are designed for higher temperatures. The actual limit also depends on the magnet's shape and the application, and on any rubber or plastic coating. Safety
15. Are neodymium magnets safe?
Yes, if you handle them with care. Strong magnets can pinch fingers and skin, and can chip or shatter if they snap together. Keep them away from pacemakers and other medical implants, electronic devices and bank cards. Our products are not toys: keep small magnets out of the reach of children. If a child swallows a magnet, seek medical help immediately. Please read our magnet safety guide.
16. Can I drill, cut or machine a neodymium magnet?
No. Neodymium magnets are hard and brittle and will crack or shatter. The dust produced by grinding or drilling is flammable, and heat from machining destroys the magnetisation. Choose a magnet with a countersunk hole or a pot magnet with a thread or hook if you need to screw it in place.
