Description

Are you looking for a powerful magnet that can be processed extremely discreetly? This 30 x 3 mm neodymium disc magnet is the perfect choice for applications where every millimetre counts. Despite its ultra-flat profile, this magnet produces an impressive pull force of about 6.5 kg, making it ideal for luxury packaging, model making and invisible closures.

Why choose this 30 x 3 mm Neodymium Magnet?

This disc magnet offers an exceptional ratio of thickness to strength. Because of its small height of only 3 mm, this magnet can be machined almost flat into a variety of materials without compromising clamping power.

  • Subtle Pull Force: With a pull force of 6.5 kg under ideal conditions, this magnet is surprisingly strong for its modest thickness.

  • High-Grade Alloy: Manufactured from superior NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) for a strong and durable magnetic field.

  • Durable Coating: Equipped with a high-quality three-layer nickel-copper-nickel coating (Ni-Cu-Ni) for optimum wear protection and a tight finish.

  • Ultra-Flat Design: With a thickness of only 3 mm, the magnet can be integrated almost invisibly into wood, cardboard or plastic.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Is 6.5 kg of pull force enough for a closet door?

Yes, for most lightweight cabinet doors or valves, 6.5 kg of pull force is more than enough. For larger doors, we recommend using two magnets for even pressure distribution.

2. What's the best way to attach this flat magnet?

Because of its large surface area of 30 mm, this magnet is excellent for bonding. Use a strong secondary adhesive or two-component adhesive for permanent bonding on smooth surfaces.

3. Can the magnet break because it's so thin?

Neodymium is a brittle material and at a thickness of 3 mm the magnet is vulnerable to hard knocks. Do not allow the magnets to collide; handle them gently to prevent breakage.
