Description
Are you looking for a magnet with a specific magnetisation direction? Unlike standard disc magnets, this 20 x 8 mm neodymium magnet is radially magnetised. Thanks to its high N50 quality, this disc offers exceptional strength for specialised applications in engineering, sensors and in the construction of engines or generators.
What is radial magnetisation?
In the case of a standard disc magnet, the poles lie on the flat circular surfaces (axially). However, in this radially magnetised version the poles are on the curved sides of the disc. The magnetic current runs through the diameter of the magnet.
N50 Magnetic Force: Manufactured from one of the strongest grades of neodymium for maximum power density in a compact volume.
Specific Pole Orientation: The north and south poles are opposite each other at the edge of the disc.
High-Quality Coating: Equipped with a three-layer nickel-copper-nickel coating (Ni-Cu-Ni) for durable protection against wear and corrosion.
Technical Applications: Ideal for use in magnetic couplings, hall sensors, electric motors and innovative DIY projects.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What's the difference between axially magnetised and radially magnetised?
In axial magnetisation, the flat sides of the disc attract. With this radial magnet, the round sides are attracted. This is crucial for specific rotation applications where the magnet rotates past a sensor.
2. Can I use this magnet for regular refrigerator applications?
Although the magnet is very strong, radial magnetisation is less practical for simply hanging papers. This magnet is really intended for technical constructions where the direction of the magnetic field is decisive.
3. Is an N50 magnet more vulnerable than an N35 magnet?
Neodymium is inherently brittle. Because N50 has a higher energy density, the internal voltages are higher. Never hit radial magnets hard; the lateral attraction may cause them to break faster than axial magnets.

Safety
Neodymium magnets are very strong. Keep them away from pacemakers, electronics and magnetic cards, wear gloves with larger sizes and keep small magnets away from children.
